The mixture was cooled to room temperature, quenched by adding water and extracted with DCM. The organic layer was washed with brine and dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated. The crude residue was purified by column chromatography (30% ethyl acetate/hexane) to afford the title compound 585 (680 mg, 96% yield). 1H NMR: (CDCl3) δ (ppm): 7.79 (s, 1H), 7.70-7.52 (m, 3H), 4.69 (s, 2H), 4.06 (s, 3H), 3.72 (s, 2H).
